Presidential Inauguration of Barack Obama

Yesterday was truly a historical day with the Inauguration of Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States. It was real! 1.4 Million people crowded Washington DC to witness his inauguration. It was star studded with many previous Presidents, both Democrat and Republican, senators and other dignitaries. What an inspirational day for many across the United States and across the World. It truly gave hope and pride that democracy can prevail successfully and give leadership to the right, capable hands, who have the collective interest at the forefront of their actions.

Personally, it made me proud and privileged to experience this in my lifetime and be apart of the following 4 years of hope & inspiration for prosperity, security and progress. It feels like being apart of a greater cause. As a North American and ultimately, a citizen of the World, it feels like a special time.

With his first day in office today, he's already executed several mandates, as per the CNBC article Obama Freezes White House Pay and video Obama's First Day in Office.

Lance Armstrong on Twitter & his Daily Schedule

I joined twitter this month, looked up if Lance Armstrong was on it and he is in a big way! He tweets everyday, even up to 6 times a day! What a perspective to have when Lance is giving you the heads up on his intra-daily thoughts & activities.

Lance recently mentioned his current schedule in two tweets:

lancearmstrong: And btw, the schedule is always the same here. 5AM - wake up, drink lots of coffee. 6AM - eat breakfast. 7AM - start the ride. Noon - finish about 15 hours ago from web [Jan 07/09 ]

lancearmstrong: 12:30 - lunch. 3PM - massage. 4PM - 6 holes of golf. 6PM - dip my beak in a frosty beverage. 7PM - dinner. 9PM - Bedtime. about 15 hours ago from web [Jan 07/09 ]

The discpline and pre-determined schedule are impressive. This is what has likely brought exceptional results for Lance, amongst his exceptional physical & mental ability too. Just Awesome insight!

Happy New Years 2009!

Wishing all my family, friends, colleagues and acquantainces a glorious 2009, full of health, happiness and prosperity!

In retrospect, 2008 had all kinds of highlights, events and emotions, at various levels. Liberal American Senator from Illinois, Barrack Obama, was elected President of the United States in November, and will be inaugurated shortly, on January 20th, bringing new hope in democracy and politics.

The world economic financial crisis in September/October 2008 was truly a historical event, that we are still in the process of emerging from. In Canada, we had an early election in October, and we are now dealing with a frozen parliament, where we'll need to go back to the polls to vote in a majority government. Sad state of politics in Canada at the moment.

On a personal note, 2008 had memorable travel in Canada, US, Italy & Spain. Working with a public company in the stock market has been quite the view & education this year, not to mention easily one to remember. Health issues arose at the beginning of the year, concerning but now tamed, as well as a special landmark birthday for special members in my immediate family. 2008 also brought new friends and acquantainces that have been rewarding additions to one's life. Technology wise, my Apple iPhone is a total spectacle and in the words of Morris, Star Trek days are here. In the world of sports, Spain won the European Cup for the second time in their history and we partied! The Canucks picked up Sundin in December and now seem to be contenders for the Cup.

Two words that were special for me this year were details and preparation.

2009 brings several anticipated events, inluding travel in April, potential work transition, various objectives and my 30th birthday in October. Looking forward to another year of eager learning, growth, and evolution in many areas of life, with the hope of successful application and rewards.

Again, Happy New Year 2009 to you and your loved ones....

Continued Success & Warmest Regards,

Ferruccio F. Susin
