NBA Summer League Experience during Las Vegas Vacay was Slam Dunk

Just back from 5 days in Las Vegas, my time off was great, which included many sessions in the Flamingo Hotel pool with 35+ degree heat.

On the Thursday however, I got a ticket to the NBA Summer League which was playing various games at the UNLV arena. It was such a great experience! I saw great rookie talent that had been recently drafted into the NBA, as well as high profile NBA brass like Phil Jackson and new Spurs coach Becky Hammon.

During one of the NBA Summer League games in the Cox Pavillion, a connected court to the large main arena, the Thomas & Mack Center, one could overhear conversations between player agents and coaches, especially foreign coaches looking for talent to bring to Europe. A recent article from ESPN.com humorously summed up my fun experience at the NBA Summer League.

Happy Canada Day!

Wishing everyone a great Canada Day on this hot Wednesday July 1st from Vancouver, BC.

It's been record temperatures for heat for the greater lower mainland, which has continued into a fabulous July 1st Canada Day, especially for the great outdoors.

O Canada!
